Where Are We From?

From looking through different student group pages on their blogs i can see a lot of activity to do with snapshots, gaming etc. i thought i would use this group to try and get to know students and lecturers a bit more by showing where we are from, see how it differs for many people and if you have moved what did you feel when doing so. This could be if you live in another country or even from within the UK but in a separate city.

So let me Start

I am from the North East of England in a city called Sunderland and i have lived there my whole life (20 years). i think the population of Sunderland is around 290,000 people.  

I do love the north east but like most cities it has it bad points, i.e. violence, lack of jobs, No one else can understand your accent lol. Although all my friends are from there and have never truly lived apart from my mum, i kind of wanted to get out and live. That is why i chose London. it is 5 hours drive from home, world known city, meet lots of new people and Southern lasses (girls) apparently like the northern accents, although most of the time people are just asking what the hell i am saying to them. For instance, 'not a chance' in slang where i am from is 'nor na neeways'. don't ask why but it just is.   

Below are two images to show what my house looks like in Sunderland and the other to show the size of our home football stadium (Stadium Of Light) which was host to band concerts for bands like, 'Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen, Take That and shortly Bon Jovi'
